Our annual hydrographic training event is filled with the latest features of the HYPACKР’В® software as well as training for both beginners and advanced users. Here at HYPACK we make sure that our attendees and exhibitors still have great and rewarding experiences. We are very happy to release this new version and hope it will be of use to you. We look forward to hearing from you during the year. Many changes to HYPACK are caused by customer requests or suggestions. This new version offers year-long updates and new features, including powerful improvements and powerful tools. When creating a new project, you can only use settings for measurement, hardware and acquisition (Create new project) or include planned lines, diagrams and most other files without data (copy existing ones). In the project wizard, you can quickly open an existing project or create a new one using the same or similar settings for surveying, hardware and data acquisition as an existing project.

We would welcome enquires from those interested in a full course or any of its component parts. The course has been designed to be modular and can be delivered flexibly over an extended period of up to three years allowing training to be consolidated with periods of practical work. As in all fields, the student is ultimately responsible for keeping his or her ongoing competence current. Together with a specified period of experience covering the gamut of the course and when the program is recognised by the IB the student will receive the internationally recognised certificate of qualification. Successful completion of the Course will equip the graduating student with the underpinning theory and training at the Category B level of S-5. The program components include: introduction to nautical science, bathymetry, tidal flows, geodesy and map projections, hydrographic practice, hydrographic data management, environmental science and legal issues. The program is designed primarily for entry level hydrographic surveyors, particularly those involved with emergent national hydrographic offices wishing to conform to the IHO standards. The course is offered with options in (a) Marine Cartography and (b) Port and Coastal Hydrography. The Academy has received recognition for this program as S5 Cat B from the International Board (IB) which defines and publishes the international standards. This is a premium offering on hydrographic surveying aligned to meet the minimum standards of competence jointly published by the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), the International Hydrographic Organization (IHO) and the International Cartographic Association (ICA).
